Glorinda, as a group active in clean energy, works on the generation of electricity through wind energy and the establishment of wind farms equipped with modern and optimal turbines. Our role is usually not turbine supply; it is the engineering and project work that surrounds it, where the technical risk concentrates.
As a provider of offshore wind farm foundations, Glorinda offers monopiles and floating foundations. And we offer a full range of services for stand-by wind farm projects, covering both onshore wind farms and offshore wind power plants.

Foundations decide the offshore case
Water depth, seabed conditions and turbine size determine whether a project is monopile or floating, and that single decision drives cost, installation method, vessel requirements and schedule more than almost anything else. Glorinda provides both monopile and floating foundations for offshore wind farms, and designs both.
For floating configurations, mooring and dynamic cable analysis is the technical work that determines whether the design survives its design life. It is also the work most often underestimated at the feasibility stage.

Owner's engineering on wind projects
On most wind projects our most useful role is not supply but independent technical authority on the client's side: reviewing the resource assessment, challenging the yield model, evaluating turbine and foundation options, assessing contractor proposals and managing construction and commissioning.

Do you supply wind turbines?
Our role is normally engineering, foundations and project services rather than turbine supply. We provide monopile and floating foundations for offshore wind farms, and a full range of engineering services around the turbine package.
What does your offshore scope cover?
Feasibility studies and licensing, metocean and wind resource assessment, mooring and dynamic cable analysis, turbine simulation, typical design, monopile foundation design, floating foundation design, owner's engineering service, and construction and commissioning management.
Can you act as owner's engineer only?
Yes, and on wind projects it is frequently the role where we add most value — an independent technical authority reviewing the resource assessment, the design and the contractor's work on your behalf.
Monopile or floating?
Water depth and seabed conditions decide it, and the answer changes the whole project: installation method, vessels, schedule and cost. We design both, which means we have no commercial reason to steer you towards one.
