Glorinda believes the sale chain does not end with the delivery of the product; it continues until the end of the product's life. Our industrial services cover installation, commissioning, operation, repair and spare parts supply — and the reason we treat this as a service line rather than a warranty obligation is that it is where a plant's economics are actually determined.
Operation. Some clients face challenges from new technology or from training their people, which directly affects start-up and delays the process. To make sure no further time or expense is wasted, Glorinda takes on the responsibility of triggering and operating the plant until the transfer of technology and utilisation is complete.
Operation and utilisation are very different concepts. We view operation as a constant analysis method based on identifying problems and processes that waste energy, then correcting them. In most cases those changes result in higher efficiency, lower energy loss, lower pollutant output, more user-friendly processes and reduced manpower requirements.
Maintenance and repair. We do not see maintenance and repair as replacing parts with new ones. It is a technical engineering activity. "Repair" therefore does not mean fitting a new part identical to the old one — obtaining a longer and more productive life cycle for a component requires investigating how it was used, and that investigation is the key to reducing the number of parts you need to buy in the first place.

What good commissioning looks like
Pre-commissioning
Mechanical completion verification, cleaning and flushing, instrument loop checks, and confirming that the plant physically matches the drawings before anything is energised.
System commissioning
System by system, in a sequence that reflects process dependencies. Utilities before process; water treatment before the systems that consume its output.
Performance testing
Demonstrating that the plant meets its guarantees under representative conditions, with instrumentation that has itself been verified.
Operator training
Technical training for system operation, delivered to the people who will actually run the plant rather than to a manager who will pass it on.
Handover and support
Documentation, spare part definition, and the after-sales technical support arrangement that follows.

Where we add most
We take responsibility for operating until the transfer of technology and utilisation is complete. Nobody's start-up curve should be paid for by lost production.
Performance improvement work starts with measurement, not with a proposal. The usual findings are energy waste, water chemistry, control philosophy that was never revisited after commissioning, and a maintenance regime treating symptoms.
Troubleshooting as an engineering activity: why did this component wear, not just which one to fit. That investigation is what reduces the number of spares you consume.
Frequently possible. For steam turbines we explicitly offer performance monitoring and maintenance services for other manufacturers' machines. For other equipment, tell us what you have and we will say honestly whether we are the right people.

Yes. Spare parts supply is part of the service, and for steam turbines we offer service contracts with guaranteed spare part availability within 24 hours and customised spare part and wear component packages.
Do you train our operators?
Yes — technical training for system operation, delivered on site or in-house and tailored to the plant and the team.
